On Monday, September 14, at FST’s Court Cabaret, Monday Night Jazz series presents Brazilian Bossa and Samba jazz with Patrick Bettison and Phill Fest. Bettison, a jazz bassist, chromatic harmonica player and pianist has performed in jazz clubs and festivals throughout Europe and the United States. Guitarist and vocalist, Fest, son of the outstanding Brazilian pianist, Manfredo Fest, was exposed to Brazilian and American Jazz right from the start. "I remember hangin' with Sergio Mendez backstage many times as a kid." His father was the keyboardist and music Director for Bossa Rio, the opening act for Brasil '66 for three years.
