One of the finest jazz trumpeters in the Bay area, James Suggs is from Harrisburg, PA. Suggs earned a Master of Music in Jazz Performance at USF Tampa and Bachelor of Music in Jazz Performance at Youngstown State U. Suggs has toured with the Glenn Miller and Tommy Dorsey Orchestras. Much in demand in the area, he has performed with Houston Person, Ken Peplowski, John Lamb, La Lucha and others. Suggs has performed critically acclaimed tribute shows to Louis Armstrong, Miles Davis and Harry James. His CD, You’re Gonna Hear From Me, has received rave reviews from critics.
